U8 Girls (6 or 7 YRS Old as of Jan 1 this year)

U8 Boys (6 or 7 YRS Old as of Jan 1 this year)

10 week season starting week following May Long Weekend 

• Program runs on THURSDAYS @ 6pm on McCulley North
• This division is divided into gender specific teams, allowing girls to play with girls only and boys to play with boys.

Sessions are supervised and run under the direction of volunteer coaches.  * If you are interested in volunteering as a parent coach for this program please visit our coaching page.

• All players are provided a jersey, socks and shorts (given on the 1st night)
• Shin pads are required and cleats are recommended

* The is also a  U8 Development Program  available .  This program is offered at an additional fee to provide players more time and touches on the ball. 

U8 is part of the 'FUNdaments' LTPD program.   
At this stage, individual player development is paramount and we begin to focus more on specific soccer technique development.  Developing agility, balance, co-ordination and speed, as well as running, jumping, twisting, kicking, throwing and catching.  Activities and games are designed to promote a feel for the ball: gaining ball control in receiving passes, dribbling, passing, kicking the ball forward, and shooting on goal. In this division there are no referees and scores or standings are not kept.
